Telehealth Overnight Weekday Psychiatrist

Per hour plus per encounter rate (1099 or W2)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders.
  • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed.
  • Create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
  • Perform chart audits, peer reviews, meetings, and provider management.
  • Maintain up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
  • Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.
  • Work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care.
  • Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management.
  • Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards, and/or contracts.

Qualifications

  • Active TX license required.
  • 2 years of inpatient experience (trauma experience required).
  • Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry.
  • Valid and unrestricted DEA.
  • Must be proficient in using Telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely.
  • Open to PMHNP collaboration (preferred, not required).
