Telehealth Overnight Weekend Psychiatrist

- Fri, Sat, or Sun - 7pm-7am CST
Compensation
- Per hour plus per encounter rate (1099 or W2)

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders.
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed.
- Create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
- Perform chart audits, peer review, meetings, provider management, etc.
- Maintain up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
- Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.
- Work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care.
- Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management.
- Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards, and/or contract.
Qualifications
- Psychiatrist is required to have an active TX license.
- 2 years of inpatient experience (trauma experience required).
- Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry.
- Valid and unrestricted DEA.
- Must be proficient in using Telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely.
- Open to PMHNP collaboration (preferred).
