The Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary, execution-oriented Senior Manager, Machine Learning to lead our Performance ML squad. This role is critical for driving the strategy, development, and deployment of our core predictive models that power our ad-buying platform. You will bridge advanced data science and robust software engineering, shaping the technical roadmap and mentoring a team of skilled engineers.

What You'll Do

• Manage, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of Machine Learning and Data Engineers, fostering technical excellence and clear career progression.
• Define the ML roadmap in alignment with product and engineering goals, translating business challenges into scalable data solutions.
• Oversee the end-to-end ML model lifecycle: data pipelining, feature engineering, deployment, monitoring, and iteration in high-volume, low-latency environments.
• Collaborate closely with Software Development teams, Program Management, and executive leadership.
• Streamline workflows, manage technical debt, ensure data quality, and guarantee reliable delivery of data products.

What Success Looks Like

• Auditing existing ML models and data pipelines to understand system behavior, performance drivers, and gaps.
• Shipping high-impact, production-ready improvements for measurable performance or efficiency gains.
• Establishing a rigorous, repeatable experimentation and deployment framework for accelerated model iteration and reliability.
• Defining and executing a phased ML roadmap, evolving from heuristic-based systems to advanced predictive models.
• Strengthening the team through trust-based leadership, skills assessment, targeted hiring, and structured development plans.

What You'll Bring

• 6+ years of experience in Machine Learning/Data Science, with 5+ years in engineering management overseeing ML/Data teams.
• Proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining models at scale, preferably in ad-tech.
• Deep understanding of modern ML frameworks, data architecture, and cloud ecosystems (e.g., Google Cloud Platform). Technical expertise to guide architectural decisions is essential.
• Exceptional communication skills to present complex ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Genuine passion for team building, clearing roadblocks, upskilling, and creating an environment where engineers thrive.
