About the Role

MongoDB is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join our Sales FP&A team. In this role, you will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and partnering with the business to drive decision-making and resource planning. You will make significant contributions to MongoDB's success by evaluating, planning, executing, and measuring strategic business initiatives alongside executives and team leaders.

This position requires an adaptable self-starter who can work comfortably and communicate clearly with stakeholders across the organization, manage tasks from start to finish, and thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

We are looking for candidates based in Dublin for our hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

  • Business Partnering: Establish positive relationships and become a key advisor for your Sales Ecosystem (Solutions Consulting, Customer Success, Partners) partners. Gain a solid understanding of business drivers and ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Forecasting & Modelling: Build and maintain detailed financial and operating models to support stakeholders with their budgets, including headcount planning and optimization.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc analyses and build financial models to guide leaders toward efficient operating strategies, resource allocation, and investments in Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives.
  • Financial Close Activities: Perform financial month-end close activities, including headcount reconciliations, accrual reviews, budget vs. actuals analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Operational Effectiveness: Improve and scale business, operational, and financial processes for all key partners. Standardize and automate reports and enhance the utilization of internal systems.
  • Workforce Planning: Partner with Sales Operations, Recruiting, and HR to drive efficiencies in workforce planning and executive reporting.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or Economics preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, or equivalent analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, Google Suite, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel. Experience with financial planning tools (Adaptive and/or Pigment preferred) is a plus. SQL knowledge is also a plus.
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Confidence to build strong relationships with business partners at all organizational levels. Prior business partnering experience, especially within a tech company, is preferred.
  • A drive for results with a sense of urgency, and the capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Highly organized with rigorous attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
