Overview

We are building a team for a leading healthcare analytics & diagnostics company. We are currently searching for an experienced Database Engineer and Administrator to join the team to own performance improvements, maintenance, migration, and usage of the internal AWS database (primarily MySQL) environment.

While you would be working within a larger tech org, this is a small, newer team with a high degree of opportunity for autonomy & influence. Prior experience managing vendors, working with internal-stakeholder-heavy positions, and making architecture or technology/tooling decisions is also a plus.

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of relevant database experience
Recent AWS data management experience
MySQL Database administration
Database performance
Backups & recovery
Other database/data technologies:
- Aurora
- PostgreSQL
- MS SQL Server

CI/CD
Containerization (Kubernetes)
