Senior Network Engineer/Atlanta/Hybrid

About the Role

This is a senior, hands-on position with real escalation ownership. You will lead the full technical direction of network and security initiatives across LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, data center, and cloud environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7 years of hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise environments
• Advanced FortiGate experience - complex policy design, VPN, SD-WAN, HA, and production troubleshooting
• Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS/DHCP, NAT, and packet capture/analysis (Wireshark)
• Strong routing and switching background - VLANs, trunking, OSPF/BGP, STP, multi-site design
• Experience with enterprise monitoring, logging, and security analytics
• Proven ability to lead technical workstreams, document standards, and communicate with stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Desired Skills & Experience

• Fortinet certifications (NSE 5/6/7 or Fortinet Certified Professional/Solutions Specialist)
• Cisco or Meraki certifications (CCNP or equivalent)
• FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer experience at scale
• SD-WAN and redundant ISP design experience
• Segmentation/zero trust strategy implementation
• Cloud networking depth (Azure/AWS) - hybrid connectivity, VPN, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect
• Automation mindset - PowerShell/Python scripting, APIs, IaC

Location

This is a hybrid role based out of the Atlanta, GA metro area. Candidates must currently reside in the Atlanta metro area.
