UI Engineering Lead

Remote / Hybrid (U.S.)

I'm partnering with a leading cloud security organization that's looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing UI Engineering team building complex, customer-facing web applications at scale.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager—or a strong Technical Lead ready to step into management—to remain technically involved while driving architecture, team growth, and product delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of frontend and full-stack engineers
• Drive technical architecture, design decisions, and engineering best practices
• Remain hands-on with code reviews, troubleshooting, and technical guidance
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering teams to deliver new features
• Own delivery of large-scale UI initiatives from planning through execution
• Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones
• Improve engineering processes, team efficiency, and development workflows
• Influence product strategy and long-term technical direction
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders across engineering and business functions

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience focused on web applications and user interfaces
• 5+ years of engineering leadership, management, or technical leadership experience
• Hands-on experience building modern web applications using React, Angular, or similar frameworks
• Experience managing and supporting globally distributed engineering teams
• Strong background in frontend architecture and scalable application design
• Experience with PHP or Go/Golang in production environments
• Knowledge of secure web development practices and application security principles
• Proven track record delivering complex products through cross-functional collaboration
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud security products or cloud-native technologies
• Experience with API platforms, gateways, or developer-facing products
• Exposure to NestJS or similar backend frameworks
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
