Role Overview
Our client is looking for a contract Network Infrastructure Project Manager. This is a fully remote role.
The Network Infrastructure Project Manager (PM) will manage multiple network projects through all phases of the project management lifecycle. This includes site assessment, construction, technical design, hardware, configuration, security, change management, implementation, and deployment. The projects involve low voltage, switches, WIFI, FWs, routers, Voice, server/application migration, configuration, implementation, and decommission. The Project Manager will report to the Program Manager and the Systems Manager.
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Required Skills & Experience
- 10 years of IT Infrastructure Project Management experience.
- 5 years specifically managing large-scale networking projects.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SPM.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Previous Network Engineering experience. (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of Google Suite. (Preferred)
- Project Management experience in a healthcare environment. (Preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. (Preferred)
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains project schedule, scope, budget, resources, issues, risks, changes, and action items.
- Understanding of Finance and Accounting principles in relation to project budgets, forecasts, accruals, procurement, and financial results analysis.
- Plays an active role in decision-making involving resource staffing, and technical and financial resources necessary to implement change for high-impact environments.
- Facilitates meetings with network architects/engineers/stakeholders to develop Method of Procedure (MOP) documents supporting change.
- Demonstrates collaboration and team leadership, focusing on items with project outcome implications beyond expectations.
- Directs by exception and contributes to the continuous improvement of the project management lifecycle methodology.
- Directs and consults with the program manager, program lead, project team members, and leadership in preparing project documentation, deliverables, milestones, resources, schedules, and budgets.
- Requires leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior management and engineering teams.
- Leads project teams consisting of the project sponsor, site director, facility manager, network architects/engineers, network operations, application team, vendor(s), and the construction team.
- Ability to quickly assess the scope of an issue and provide options for its closure.
- Adheres to the organizational project management methodology as defined within the Network & Voice.
