About the Role
As a member of MoveOn's Organizing team, the Temporary Training Manager will play a crucial role in preparing volunteers for election programs. You will work closely with the Volunteer Network Director and key staff to design, coordinate, and deliver equitable and inclusive training programs that strengthen our organization's impact.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee MoveOn's 2026 electoral and skill-building training programs, including project coordination and facilitating cross-organizational meetings.
- Training Development: Collaborate with the Volunteer Network Director and program teams to identify training needs, define objectives, create content, and facilitate programs.
- Content Creation & Accessibility: Work with teams to adapt training content for multiple platforms (Zoom, Instagram Reels, TikTok) to maximize accessibility.
- Needs Assessment: Identify and develop electoral training programs based on comprehensive needs assessments.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all training materials meet MoveOn's high standards for accessibility and best practices.
- Resource Management: Maintain and expand the catalogue of training resources, identifying needs and collaborating on content for campaigning and organizing skills.
- Reporting: Implement a reporting system to track key metrics such as the number of participants, training topics, and conversion rates.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience designing and implementing equitable and accessible training programs, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Proven experience facilitating both in-person and remote learning experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct needs assessments and translate findings into effective programs and resources.
- Strong project management and cross-collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and clarity.
- Experience managing vendor relationships.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to: Volunteer Network Director
Location:
- Remote within the contiguous United States. Occasional travel may be required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $97,138.89 annually.
- Subsidies: Monthly home office subsidy, $2,100 annually for internet/phone, $900 annually for health and wellness.
- Health Insurance: Employer-paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision benefits for employees and their children. Subsidized rates for spouses/domestic partners.
- Insurance: Employer-paid life insurance.
- Paid Time Off: Four weeks of accrued paid vacation, prorated. 18 weeks of paid parental leave. 10 days of accrued paid sick time, prorated. Paid family medical leave.
- Holidays: 8 staff holidays and 6 floating holidays annually.
- Professional Development: $1,000 annual budget for professional development.
