Role Overview

  • Location: 100% Remote
  • Rate: $35/hr. w2

This is a senior individual contributor and SME role delivering FIS imaging and distributed capture solutions (DLM, DLC, ImageCentre, DirectLink) for banking and financial institution clients. You will lead small projects independently as both Project Manager and Technical Analyst, and serve as the lead Technical Analyst on larger, complex, multi-product engagements.

This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship skills with US-based clients. You must work US business hours, with after-hours and weekend support required for newly implemented clients for a minimum of 2 weeks post go-live.

Functional & Domain Knowledge

  • Excellent merchant and mobile distributed capture domain knowledge across banking environments.
  • Deep understanding of teller and distributed capture workflows and deposit lifecycle management.
  • Item processing knowledge across capture channels: merchant, mobile, teller, and ATM.
  • Deposit settlement, balancing, and exception handling across distributed capture platforms.
  • Familiarity with banking ERP, check clearing, and remittance processing environments.

Platform & Application Knowledge

  • DLM (Distributed Capture Management): SME-level knowledge; configuration, troubleshooting, and client solutioning.
  • DLC (Distributed Capture): SME-level knowledge; merchant and mobile distributed capture workflows.
  • ImageCentre: General SME resource; installer, configuration, and multi-version knowledge.
  • DirectLink: SME resource with focus on product-to-product migrations and add-on/work order projects.
  • Cross-platform integration awareness; ability to scope and deliver multi-product implementations.

Project & Client Management

  • Own and run small-scope projects end-to-end as both Project Manager and Technical Analyst.
  • Lead Technical Analyst on large, multi-product, cross-functional implementation engagements.
  • Drive requirements gathering, solution design, and delivery sign-off with client stakeholders.
  • Manage scope, escalations, and client expectations through go-live and stabilisation phases.
  • Coordinate and guide junior technical resources; serve as escalation point within the delivery team.
  • Quick decision-making and proactive communication in deadline-driven client environments.

Technical Skills

  • Strong to excellent SQL knowledge: querying, data validation, troubleshooting, and implementation support.
  • Strong item processing knowledge including merchant capture, mobile capture, teller, and distributed capture channels.
  • Deposit settlement and balancing knowledge across distributed capture environments (DLM/DLC profiles).
  • Excellent sort pattern and logic knowledge: review, configure, and validate client capture requirements.
  • Requirements gathering, gap analysis, and technical solutioning; cross-team collaboration and resource coordination.
  • Product-to-product migration delivery; add-on and work order technical project execution.

Leadership, Soft Skills & Work Requirements

  • SME-level depth expected: able to mentor, cross-train, and provide guidance to junior analysts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present complex solutions clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation skills; contributes to standards, runbooks, and best-practice guidelines.
  • Independent judgment and decision-making; minimal supervision required.
  • Must be available to work US business hours (North America client base).
  • After-hours and weekend availability required for minimum 2 weeks post go-live per new client.
