About The Role

Innova Solutions is seeking an experienced AI/ML Cloud Engineer for a client engagement in Bloomfield, CT. This is a full-time, contract position with a duration of 12 months, offering a hybrid work environment. The AI/ML Cloud Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the company's AI and machine learning initiatives by designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms. The candidate will collaborate closely with data science, DevOps, and engineering teams to facilitate seamless AI/ML operations, optimize cloud resources, and ensure secure, scalable, and efficient infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of AI/ML technology, supporting innovative projects and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background as a Cloud Engineer or AI/ML Infrastructure Engineer with hands-on experience supporting AI/ML platforms in cloud environments. Proficiency in AWS and Microsoft Azure is essential, along with a solid understanding of Linux administration and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell. Experience with container orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and AKS is required, as well as expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep templates. Candidates should also have experience with monitoring and performance optimization tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, or Prometheus. Cloud certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure AI Engineer are highly preferred. Additional experience working with GPU-based infrastructure, MLOps practices, ML pipelines, and data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Spark will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure supporting AI/ML workloads on AWS and Azure platforms.
• Manage compute resources including EC2 instances, Azure Virtual Machines, GPU instances, and Kubernetes clusters to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
• Provision and configure storage, networking, and security services tailored for AI platforms and data environments.
• Deploy and maintain AI/ML services such as Amazon SageMaker and Azure Machine Learning to facilitate model training and deployment.
• Support data scientists and ML engineers by providing optimized environments for model development, training, and deployment.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM/Bicep templates to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Automate scaling, provisioning, and patching processes to ensure high availability and security of cloud environments.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and AKS, ensuring seamless orchestration and deployment workflows.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure using tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, and Prometheus.
• Optimize infrastructure for performance, GPU utilization, and cost efficiency while adhering to security best practices including IAM/RBAC, encryption, and network security.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards through consistent security and governance practices.
• Integrate AI/ML infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes and improve operational efficiency.
