About The Role

The Plant Controller position at Jobot offers a unique opportunity for a highly experienced financial professional to lead the financial operations of our manufacturing plant. This hybrid role, after an initial 90-day period, combines on-site presence with flexible remote work arrangements, supporting work-life balance and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing the plant's financial health, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. They will collaborate closely with plant management and corporate finance teams to develop strategic financial plans, implement cost control measures, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in ERP systems, cost accounting, and financial analysis, capable of driving continuous improvement and maximizing profitability.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a preference for those holding a Master's degree or CPA certification. A minimum of five years of relevant experience as a plant controller or in a comparable role within the engineering sector is essential. Proven expertise in ERP implementation, particularly with IFS, is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting, planning, and analysis, alongside experience managing capital expenditures, fixed assets, and cost reduction initiatives. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent leadership and communication abilities are critical. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions based on accurate data is required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial aspects of plant operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure operational efficiency and fiscal responsibility.
  • Implement and manage ERP systems, specifically IFS, to streamline financial processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Conduct detailed cost accounting analyses and develop strategies to reduce costs, improve margins, and maximize profitability across the plant.
  • Manage capital expenditures (Capex), ensuring projects are within budget, justified, and deliver expected returns on investment.
  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, including accurate record-keeping, depreciation schedules, and asset management.
  • Develop comprehensive financial reports and present findings to senior management, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with plant management and corporate finance teams to formulate financial strategies, budgets, and operational plans aligned with company goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, maintaining high standards of financial integrity and transparency.
