Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with payroll tax filings, garnishments, and benefits deductions. A high level of integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are also important. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if accompanied by relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for approximately 300 employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee payroll-related inquiries, providing timely and professional support.
  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments on employee changes, audits, and reporting requirements.
  • Support year-end payroll processes, including the preparation of W-2s and 1099s, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Stay updated on payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and process improvements.
