Company overview
Newton Research is an expanding software startup backed by established venture capital and founded by repeat entrepreneurs. The company creates AI-agent-powered products that streamline complex marketing analytics work for customers and partners.
Role summary
As a Designer, you will help shape how Newton Research presents itself across website experiences, product marketing, social channels, and sales materials. You will collaborate closely with marketing and go-to-market teams to turn campaign ideas into strong visual assets, keep the brand consistent, and make complex ideas easy to understand.
This position is broad in scope and suited to a designer with a creative mindset, a solid base in brand and digital design, and an interest in motion and animation. It is an entry-level role, but it comes with real ownership, meaningful impact from the start, and room to grow as the company scales.
Design and production
- Build marketing materials in multiple formats, including landing pages, email templates, digital ads, social media graphics, presentations, and one-pagers.
- Establish and uphold brand guidelines so that customer-facing and internal assets stay visually aligned.
- Create motion graphics and animations for social posts, product demos, and campaign content.
- Assist with the design of web pages and digital experiences while working closely with the marketing team.
Collaboration
- Work with marketing, growth, and go-to-market stakeholders to convert briefs into polished, brand-consistent visuals.
- Handle several projects at once and deliver on time without compromising quality.
- Share and respond to feedback thoughtfully, making fast iterations based on stakeholder input.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of design experience, supported by a portfolio that shows breadth across brand, digital, and motion work.
- Strong working knowledge of Figma; experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop, is a plus.
- Excellent sense of typography, layout, and color, with the ability to work quickly while still producing polished work.
- Some motion and animation capability, even if it is still developing, with more value placed on growth potential than perfect refinement.
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first setting with little day-to-day guidance.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain design choices and incorporate feedback well.
- Exposure to B2B SaaS, adtech, or marketing technology is helpful but not mandatory.
Compensation
The base salary range for this role is USD 60,000 to 80,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Create a wide variety of marketing and brand assets, from landing pages and email layouts to social creatives, ads, decks, and one-pagers.
- Keep the visual identity consistent by maintaining and applying brand standards across all materials.
- Design motion-based content and animations for social media, demos, and campaigns.
- Support website and digital experience design in partnership with the marketing team.
- Coordinate with marketing, growth, and go-to-market teams to turn briefs into finished creative.
- Balance multiple active projects and meet deadlines while preserving quality.
- Use feedback well and iterate efficiently with stakeholders.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of professional design experience.
- A portfolio showing work across brand, digital, and motion design.
- Proficiency in Figma.
- Canva and Adobe Creative Suite experience, especially After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop, is preferred.
- Strong grasp of typography, layout, and color.
- Comfort working independently in a remote-first environment.
- Ability to communicate design rationale clearly and respond well to feedback.
- Experience in B2B SaaS, adtech, or martech is a bonus.
