About the role
We're hiring a Patient Outreach & Appointment Sales Representative to reconnect lapsed patients with our medical clinic. This is a sales role: your job is to convert a daily list of unscheduled patients into booked, kept appointments. You'll spend the majority of every scheduled hour on outbound calls, working a prioritized list of patients who haven't been seen recently.
This is a phone-first, high-volume sales position. Expect to be on back-to-back outbound calls for most of every shift. Strong closers thrive here.
No prior medical, clinical, or EHR experience is required. Full training on our systems, scripts, documentation standards, and workflows is provided from day one.
Schedule
- Up to 29.5 hours per week, scheduled as five shifts of approximately 6 hours
- Hours are firmly capped at 29.5/week
- Monday--Friday, US Eastern Time business hours
Compensation
- $3.00 per converted appointment, paid in two halves:
- $1.50 at the time of booking
- $1.50 when the patient shows up to the appointment
- Realistic booking volume for proficient reps: 8--10 appointments per hour. At that pace, gross piece-rate earnings run roughly $24--$30/hour before adjusting for show rate.
- Minimum-wage true-up: If your piece-rate earnings in any workweek fall below the applicable federal, state, or local minimum wage when divided by total hours worked, we will true you up to the minimum-wage floor for that workweek. You will never be paid less than the law requires, regardless of conversion volume.
Expected weekly earnings: At 8--10 conversions per hour across roughly 29 paid hours, gross piece-rate earnings run approximately $700--$870/week before adjusting for show rate.
What you'll do
- Work a daily call list of lapsed patients who have not yet rescheduled
- Make a high volume of outbound calls (target: roughly 4 hours/shift of recorded call time) in a warm, professional, sales-oriented tone
- Close: book patients into open appointment slots that match provider availability
- Handle objections, rescheduling requests, and difficult conversations with patience and persistence
- Verify and update basic patient demographic information (phone, address, insurance on file)
- Document the outcome of every call in our scheduling system
- Leave persuasive, friendly voicemails on unanswered calls and follow a defined callback cadence
Required
- US work authorization
- Fluent English speaker with excellent verbal communication skills
- High phone tolerance
- Reliable high-speed home internet
- Personal computer
- Quiet, dedicated workspace free from background noise
- Ability to consistently work scheduled shifts within US Eastern Time business hours
Preferred
- Prior experience in outbound sales, telesales, appointment setting, call center work, or B2C warm/cold calling
- A track record of hitting conversion or quota targets in a previous role
- Experience with any CRM, scheduling, or ticketing software (Salesforce, HubSpot, athenaOne, etc.)
- Comfort with light data entry and accurate note-taking while on a live call
