Hybrid | Aerospace & Defence | Pennsylvania

I'm currently partnering with a global aerospace and defence technology organisation looking to appoint a Senior Finance Analyst to join their Programme Finance team in Pennsylvania.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Analyst who enjoys working closely with Programme Management, Operations and Engineering teams within a highly visible and fast-paced project environment.

The role will focus on programme financial planning, forecasting, reporting and performance analysis across a portfolio of complex engineering and defence-related programmes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Forecasting, budgeting and analysing programme financial performance
  • Monitoring key metrics including revenue, gross margin, cash flow and shipments
  • Supporting programme estimates at complete (EAC) analysis and reporting
  • Conducting variance analysis and identifying financial risks and opportunities
  • Collaborating closely with Programme Management, Procurement, Operations and Engineering teams
  • Supporting annual operating plans and long-range strategic planning
  • Tracking programme cost, schedules and material expenditure
  • Producing weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting for leadership teams
  • Supporting proposal development, audits and programme negotiations
  • Mentoring junior analysts and supporting process improvement initiatives

What they're looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years' Finance Analyst experience or Master's Degree with 3 years' experience
  • Strong Excel capability including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and SUMIFS
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle beneficial
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently within fast-paced environments

Additional experience of interest:

  • Aerospace or Defence industry experience
  • Programme finance or project finance exposure
  • Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing operations
