Job description
Optomi, in partnership with a premier client in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a User Experience Researcher to support a high-impact initiative focused on modernizing internal operations and dispatch systems. This role will help improve the efficiency and usability of tools used by teams managing network outages, work orders, and field technician coordination. The ideal candidate will leverage both qualitative and quantitative research to inform data-driven and AI-supported solutions that streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
This role is designated as remote; however, interested candidates must be based in Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA to collaborate with local teams as needed.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct user research to improve internal tools and operational workflows
- Design and execute mixed-methods research to uncover insights and inefficiencies
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to inform product and operational decisions
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to align research with business goals
- Communicate insights clearly to influence design, workflow improvements, and system enhancements
The Right Candidate Will Have:
- 5--8+ years of UX research experience, ideally in enterprise or complex systems
- Strong mixed-methods research skills with a data-driven mindset
- Experience working with internal tools, operations, or workflow-heavy environments is a plus
- Ability to translate research into actionable insights that drive efficiency and optimization
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams
- Exposure to AI-driven or automation-focused initiatives is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating impact of research on product or system improvements
