What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Assistant State Maintenance Engineer and HQ Maintenance Team
  • Coordinate and manage travel plans in accordance with departmental policies
  • Respond to public inquiries and manage information requests from various stakeholders
  • Supervise and direct the workflow of administrative staff within the HQ Maintenance Office
  • Maintain and manage the Assistant State Maintenance Engineer's calendar and administrative functions

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Proven experience performing complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation with a focus on enhancing satisfaction
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience in fiscal and administrative support functions such as timekeeping and procurement
  • Knowledge of payroll and accounts payable systems
  • Proven ability in planning and coordinating government meetings and events
  • Experience in a supervisory role providing leadership and oversight to a team
