OVERVIEW
At Orion, we are seeking Construction IT Project Managers to support new construction and expansion initiatives by managing the application and technology components required for new hospitals, clinics, medical office buildings, and unit expansions. This opportunity does not manage physical construction activities; instead, it ensures all software, systems, and application builds needed for new facilities are delivered on time and within budget.
OPPORTUNITY
- 6-month Contract-to-Hire
- Fully Remote (U.S. -- Central & Eastern Time Zones)
SALARY
- $130,000 -- $150,000 W2 plus benefits
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate work across 30 application, infrastructure, and clinical teams, requiring exceptional communication, organization, and the ability to learn new processes quickly.
- Drive projects forward to set and sometimes aggressive deadlines and budgets.
- Manage project deliverables and resource plans in ServiceNow (PPM), Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Drive.
- Develop and maintain project management deliverables including budget/finances, project charters, RACIs, communication plans, test plans, and project schedules.
- Drive project process through project meetings, minutes, task assignments, setting deadlines and follow ups, including holding resources accountable for deadlines.
- Report to portfolio and tower leaders, and maintain a close relationship with leadership and stakeholders providing regular reports, ad hoc reports, and addressing concerns.
- Manage multiple subprojects and communicate to various levels (resources, leaders, stakeholders) including identifying risks and issues; driving remediation of risks and resolution of issues.
KEY EXPERIENCE
- 10 years' experience of functional project management in the healthcare technology space.
- Experience with projects involving EMR/application builds for new construction projects such as hospitals, unit expansions, medical office building, or new clinics.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills since there will be constant communication with high-level executives while managing 50 resources.
- Experience in project managing the applications of a construction projects (e.g. unit expansion, new hospital/clinic, medical office building, etc.) along with application portfolios.
- Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration, de-escalate tension, and maintain a professional yet positive work environment.
- Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment.
- Experience with Smart Sheets, ServiceNow project management tools and Google Suite.
- Bachelor's degree and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are preferred.
INTERVIEW PROCESS
- Quick turnaround: preliminary interview followed by team interview on phone and Google Meets.
- Typically, one round with the hiring manager, joined by the team (virtual interview), possibly two rounds if necessary.
