The Opportunity

Parts Town is seeking a Purchasing Intern to join our Purchasing and Supply Chain teams. This role offers exposure to real operational decisions impacting the company's bottom line by focusing on evaluating and improving ordering processes, transportation spend, and inventory strategies. You will gain experience in supply chain optimization within a high-growth organization by analyzing data, testing process changes, and presenting findings to leadership.

A Typical Day

• Analyze purchasing and ordering patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate inbound transportation spend and service-level performance.
• Review and assess stocking strategies for cut-to-length parts.
• Track performance metrics related to cost, service, and customer experience.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Transportation, and Finance teams.
• Prepare analysis summaries and final recommendations for process improvements.

To Land This Opportunity

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Enjoy analyzing data to uncover insights and improvement opportunities.
• Comfortable communicating findings and recommendations to others.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented and curious about how supply chain decisions impact customers.

Compensation

The pay for this internship is $18.00 per hour.
