Position Overview

As an Architect specializing in interior design for their Manhattan office, you'll blend architectural expertise with interior design execution. You'll develop comprehensive interior solutions from space planning through fabrication details, working on projects that require deep understanding of FF&E, millwork, life safety, and material specifications.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead interior design and space planning for commercial and hospitality projects
  • Develop detailed millwork drawings, fabrication specifications, and installation details
  • Coordinate FF&E selections, specifications, and procurement processes
  • Apply life safety codes and egress requirements to interior layouts
  • Select and specify fabrics, finishes, materials, and fixtures for interior environments
  • Produce construction documents using advanced Revit for interior build-outs
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to integrate interior design with building systems
  • Present design concepts and material boards to clients and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of architectural experience with strong interior design background
  • Demonstrated expertise in FF&E specification and coordination
  • Deep knowledge of life safety, egress planning, and accessibility codes
  • Advanced millwork detailing and fabrication documentation experience
  • Proficiency in fabric and material selection for commercial/hospitality environments
  • Advanced Revit skills for interior documentation
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from accredited program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • New York State architectural license
  • NCIDQ certification or interior design credentials
  • Experience with hospitality or high-end commercial interior projects
  • Knowledge of sustainable materials and wellness design principles
