Job Summary
This job independently manages PayPal's internal and external communications to build and maintain its reputation, convey messages effectively, and engage with various stakeholders. They use various communication channels, including written, verbal, visual, and digital, to convey information, promote PayPal's brand, and foster relationships with the public, employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive communication strategies.
- Manage high-profile communication projects and campaigns.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts and influencers.
- Oversee the creation of content for various communication channels, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Analyze communication metrics and provide insights to improve future campaigns.
- Mentor and guide junior communication specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications
PayPal is seeking a Communications Specialist (Level 6) to join the Corporate Affairs team. This role supports both operational execution and executive communications, enabling team effectiveness and contributing to high-impact internal communications.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Support (60%)
- Manage operational processes including purchase orders (POs), statements of work (SOWs), contracts, and vendor onboarding.
- Track budgets, contracts, and workstreams in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Partner with Corporate Finance on budget forecasting and spend tracking.
- Handle inbound operational requests, including risk management coordination.
- Support logistics for key initiatives and leadership engagements, including internal events and summits.
Executive Communications Support (40%)
- Assist in developing internal Corporate Affairs communications and quarterly Town Hall materials.
- Support coordination of executive communications across internal and external channels.
- Contribute to briefing and meeting preparation for senior leadership.
- Curate and distribute regular updates for executive stakeholders.
Compensation & Benefits
- Travel: 0%
- Pay Range: San Jose, California | ($88,500.00 - $126,500.00 Annually)
- Additional Compensation: May include annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation.
