The Opportunity

APEX Wood Floors has an exciting opportunity for a Sales and Design Associate to join their growing team in the Mountain West Region! This is a full-time, remote position offering flexibility and opportunities for growth.

Location & Travel

  • Remote, based in the Mountain West region/Mountain Time Zone.
  • Willingness to travel within the Mountain West region for client and prospect visits.
  • Occasional travel to our home location in Chicago, IL for quarterly on-site meetings.

About the Role

We are seeking a relationship-focused, driven, and service-passionate individual to join our team as a Sales and Design Associate.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $60,000 - $65,000, based on experience.
  • Opportunities for commission.
  • Benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401k with company match, and paid time off.
  • Opportunity to work from home with some travel required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a service-based industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales or design role within a service-based industry.
  • Proven track record in prospecting leads, relationship building, and sales/business development.
  • Experience in bidding on projects, preparing proposals, and presenting to clients.
  • Proactive, customer-centric mindset with a relationship focus.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in wood flooring or an adjacent service industry is a plus.
  • CAD experience is preferred but not required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prospecting, relationship building, and business partner enhancements, including:
    • Networking (out-of-state events, lunch and learns, coffees, lunches, office visits).
    • Maintaining CRM with activity, leads, and client information.
  • Bidding on projects, preparing proposals, and presenting them to clients.
  • Creating CAD/project layouts and designs, including new project site visits.
  • Developing long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned.
