Location and Schedule

  • Location: Barkley Financial Center, Bellingham, WA
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days per week in office)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (40 hours per week)

A Day in Your Life at Peoples Bank

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and usability of the bank's data while transforming it into actionable insights that support business decision-making. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and IT to develop and maintain reports and dashboards, deliver meaningful analysis, and support data-driven initiatives across the organization. You will play a central role in monitoring and improving data quality within the data warehouse, identifying trends and discrepancies, and providing clear, actionable recommendations that support strategic and operational goals.

Your Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensuring data integrity through quality assurance, validation, and monitoring processes.
  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Axiom, and BIC.
  • Performing analysis on financial and operational data, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Partnering with business units to understand reporting needs and deliver timely, accurate data solutions.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of data pipelines and underlying data structures.
  • Assisting with data integration efforts across systems and applications.
  • Researching and analyzing historical and forecasted data to support planning and decision-making.
  • Troubleshooting data issues and collaborating with technical teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Documenting reporting logic, data definitions, and data processes.
  • Coordinating and supporting data-driven projects across departments.
  • Assisting with budget and financial reporting activities as needed.

What You Bring to the Team

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
  • 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or data management.
  • Proficient SQL skills and familiarity with data structures or ETL concepts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professional etiquette, and a service mentality.
  • Skilled at business communication, both verbal and written.
  • Strong professional demeanor and high regard for confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel to other locations for meetings/training.
