Location and Schedule

  • Location: Laurel Building, Barkley Campus
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days per week in office
  • Schedule: Monday -- Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (40 hours per week)

We are hiring either a Training Specialist or Senior Training Specialist, depending on experience and qualifications. Both roles are responsible for delivering engaging, learner-centered training across the full core banking curriculum, demonstrating effective facilitation skills and adaptability in both classroom and virtual environments. This position is responsible for preparing and delivering established training programs that support employee performance and business objectives.

The Training Specialist/Senior Training Specialist contributes to the maintenance and improvement of training materials, assisting with content updates and instructional design efforts to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with policies and procedures.

In addition, the Senior Training Specialist partners with training leadership to support program development, contributes to instructional design, and drives continuous improvement in training effectiveness.

Your Primary Responsibilities

  • Facilitating instructor-led training across the core banking curriculum in both classroom and virtual environments.
  • Preparing and delivering training sessions using established curriculum.
  • Demonstrating effective facilitation skills to create an engaging learning environment.
  • Supporting learner development by providing feedback and escalating performance concerns.
  • Collaborating with the training team to maintain and update training materials.
  • Assisting in the development and revision of training content and job aids.
  • Partnering with internal departments and subject matter experts.
  • Delivering webinars and virtual learning sessions.
  • Supporting training efforts for new systems, processes, or initiatives.
  • Gathering participant feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining knowledge of bank products, services, and procedures.
  • Providing on-site training support, including occasional travel.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Training Specialist

  • Supporting the implementation of new systems and initiatives through strategy and curriculum design.
  • Participating in cross-functional projects, providing training expertise and change enablement.
  • Collaborating with leadership to support departmental initiatives and process improvements.
  • Researching and recommending innovative training methods and technologies.
  • Staying current on industry trends and learning methodologies.

What You Bring to the Team

Minimum Qualifications (Training Specialist)

  • High School diploma, G.E.D or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of banking or financial services experience.
  • Experience facilitating group discussions or presentations.
  • Ability to translate complex information into learner-friendly content.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of banking products, services, and systems.
  • Proficiency with standard business and training technology (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom).
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Additional Qualifications for Senior Training Specialist

  • Minimum 3--5 years of experience delivering instructor-led training or adult learning programs.
  • Demonstrated advanced facilitation skills with strong classroom presence.
  • Proven ability to facilitate both in-person and virtual training.
  • Experience supporting projects or system implementations preferred.

Competitive Compensation

Training Specialist: $24.37 - $36.56 per hour Senior Training Specialist: $28.03 - $42.04 per hour
