The Opportunity: Recruiter

Drive exceptional hiring and talent delivery as a Recruiter on our Talent Acquisition team. You will own full‑life‑cycle recruiting, from sourcing and interviewing to closing top talent. Build strong partnerships with hiring managers and stakeholders to meet hiring goals in a fast‑paced, metrics‑driven environment. This is a remote role requiring candidates based on the East Coast, preferably in the DELMARVA region (Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia), with potential for up to 10% travel. This role is ideal for a proactive, relationship-driven recruiter who excels at prioritizing workload, delivering results, and enhancing the candidate and hiring manager experience.

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage full life cycle recruiting for hourly, non-exempt positions across specialized and skilled functions, including but not limited to Maintenance and Reliability, Wastewater, Production Support, Wellness, and Human Resources.
  • Create requisitions, source candidates, review resumes, conduct pre-screening interviews, manage interview logistics, extend offers, and handle pre-employment tasks.
  • Develop search strategies to identify and attract top talent.
  • Utilize various sourcing tools (job boards, professional networks, social media, Boolean search, etc.) to find and engage potential candidates.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Hiring Managers, Human Resources, Compensation, Learning and Development, and the Business, to ensure an excellent client and candidate experience.
  • Maintain high data integrity within our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and reporting.
  • Assist in developing and executing recruitment programs for specialized and skilled trades (e.g., campus, military base recruiting).
  • Achieve measurable results in hiring ratios (applicants vs. hires) and ensure all required documentation (application, references, background checks) is completed in accordance with OFCCP standards.
  • Stay informed about market trends, diversity recruiting, and use data analysis to identify current and future talent needs.
  • Participate in career fairs, networking events, and campus recruiting activities.
  • Promote Perdue's employer brand both online and offline.
  • Support Talent Acquisition leaders with strategic hiring initiatives as needed.

Minimum Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of professional-level recruiting experience for non-exempt and/or exempt employees.
  • Experience with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Candidate Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in sourcing passive candidates and using various sourcing tools (e.g., Indeed, LinkedIn).
  • Familiarity with Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) requirements in recruitment, interviewing, and selection.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and sourcing strategies.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills for problem-solving at a functional level.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction across all organizational levels and excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to team performance.
  • Ability to positively represent Perdue and its career opportunities to potential candidates.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Experience recruiting for non-exempt roles in specialized or skilled trades (Maintenance and Reliability/Skilled Trades, Wastewater, Production Support, Wellness, Human Resources, etc.) or familiarity with these skill sets.
  • Experience in manufacturing/industrial recruiting.

Physical Requirements And Environmental Factors

  • The role is primarily sedentary, with occasional movement between offices or buildings.
  • May involve moving light equipment or supplies.
  • Access to files, supplies, and equipment is required.
  • Work environment is an office setting with open partitions or cubicles.
