Backend Engineer

One of our clients is looking for an experienced Backend Engineer for a USA (100% Remote) Contract Opportunity.

Note: Looking for candidates with independent work authorization only (No Sponsorship / No H1-B).

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in Backend Engineering / Software Development
• Experience in Healthcare / LIMS / FDA-regulated software environments needed.
• Strong experience in TypeScript and Node.js development
• Hands-on experience building production-level backend services / APIs
• Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture
• Experience with Kafka / Event-Driven Architecture
• Knowledge of Topic Design, Consumer Groups, Partitioning, Idempotency & Message Ordering
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL (Schema Design, Transactions, Indexing, Migrations)
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services (EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch)
• Experience with Kubernetes / Containerized Deployments
• Strong debugging skills across application & infrastructure layers
• Experience with REST APIs / Service Communication
• Hands-on experience with Unit Testing Frameworks (Jest / Vitest)
• Experience with End-to-End Testing Tools (Playwright / Cypress / Selenium)
• Strong understanding of Test Strategy (Unit, Integration & E2E Testing)
• Experience in Distributed Systems / Multi-service Environments
• Strong understanding of Error Handling, Logging, Monitoring & Observability
• Database migration and performance optimization experience
• Strong written communication (Design Docs, PRs, Test Cases)
• Ability to work in ambiguous / fast-paced engineering environments
• Systems troubleshooting across multiple integrations/services
