Role Description
This is a part-time, remote role for a QA Tester / Quality Assurance Analyst Engineer. The role involves designing, executing, and documenting test cases for web and/or software applications to ensure product quality and reliability.
The QA professional will perform manual testing, identify defects, track issues, and collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and reproduce problems.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Validating new features
- Performing regression testing
- Analyzing test results
- Providing clear, actionable feedback to improve performance, usability, and stability
The role may also involve contributing to test plans, improving testing processes, and helping to define quality standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong Quality Assurance and Manual Testing skills, including familiarity with software development life cycle and QA best practices.
- Proficiency in Test Execution and writing, maintaining, and organizing Test Cases.
- Solid Analytical Skills to identify patterns, investigate root causes, and interpret test results effectively.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to document defects clearly and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar) and basic understanding of version control concepts is beneficial.
- Foundational knowledge of financial services or fintech environments is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and meet agreed timelines.
- Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in QA/testing.
