UX Designer, Contractor

Role Overview

• Location: USA Remote
• Term: 6 Month Contract
• Hourly Pay Rate: $48.92 - $54.37 USD

Travel Expectations

For this remote role, there will be in-office events that require travel to the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City offices. These include, but are not limited to, onboarding, team events, and semi-annual/annual team meetings.

The Role

We are looking for a talented designer interested in making a real difference in human lives. By improving the usability of our platform, you will enable care professionals to make better-informed decisions for their patients. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for design, strong interpersonal skills, an analytical mind, and the ability to thrive in a complex, fast-moving environment.

Who You'll Work With

You will report to our Director of User Experience and work closely with product and engineering teams. You will build relationships with users, representatives, and customer success teams to holistically improve platform usability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research and testing.
• Create mockups to articulate functionality and design.
• Refine user personas and map journeys.
• Champion best practices in user experience design.

Skills and Experience

• College/University Degree in a related field (UX Design, IT, Graphic Design, etc.) or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in design and prototyping tools (Figma, DoveTail, Adobe, Protopie, etc.).
• Expert-level professional UX design experience.
• Strong eye for visual design.
• Flawless attention to detail.
• Experience procuring qualitative and quantitative data.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Expertise with established and emerging design practices.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
• Passion for fostering relationships throughout the organization.
• Creative and analytical mindsets.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS is helpful for discussing specs with engineers.
• Experience in usability testing and analytics platforms.
