We are looking for an experienced Liability Claims Specialist. Candidates must have experience with slip/falls, bodily injury, severe injuries, contractual capacity, and risk transfer, and be interested in working for a technology-forward insurance company.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategy to resolve Commercial P&C, GL, Property Liability claims on very challenging and complex accounts.
- Investigate, identify, and assess coverage issues, draft coverage position letters, and retain coverage counsel.
- Analyze and direct initial risk transfer, subrogation/salvage action, additional insured issues, and contractual indemnity issues to ensure equitable contributions.
- Manage the litigation process, including retaining and directing counsel on resolution strategy.
- Attend mediations and trials relevant to resolution.
Qualifications
- 3-7 years of claims experience with BI/Bodily Injuries from a liability perspective.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, evaluation, negotiating, and interpersonal skills.
- Proper adjuster licensing in applicable states.
- Strong knowledge base of legal concepts and processes.
