A Day in the Life
As an Account Director, you'll be responsible for working with clients in the Omni-Channel space. A successful candidate will have a broad and varied background with hands-on experience across many digital marketing channels and tools. This role will drive performance through integrated marketing tactics across paid, owned, and earned channels. Through a deep understanding of the client's business, you will guide and counsel clients on how marketing tactics can drive business outcomes. You will lead cross-functional account teams of highly talented marketers by working closely to optimize their efforts and provide strategic guidance. In collaboration with Account Managers, you will spearhead service expansions, manage media, craft testing roadmaps, and lead tactical pivots when necessary. Additionally, you will demonstrate exceptional leadership by gaining trust and providing unmatched strategic insight to your cross-functional account teams. This is an exciting role for a seasoned digital marketer seeking an opportunity to lead innovative, growth-oriented marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimize business processes
- Utilize and leverage Power Digital's Nova ecosystem as it relates to your department
- Run quarterly Power Circuit reviews, diagnosing growth constraints across Business, Audience, Product, Messaging, Channels, and Measurement, with particular attention to how the client's retail and DTC performance interact
- Own the senior client relationship; QBRs should drive decisions, not report history
- Build multi-threaded relationships so no single POC departure puts the account at risk
- Consult on channel mix across DTC, Amazon, and retail, understanding how they cannibalize or reinforce each other and making a recommendation
- Coordinate paid, SEO, content, influencer, and creative teams around a single account strategy
- Manage retention and expansion; lead renewals; grow MRR in your portfolio
- Work in Iris and nova daily; surface problems before clients raise them
- Manage and develop 1-2 direct reports, running regular 1:1s, building development plans, and owning their performance reviews
- Coach analysts and specialists, giving specific, timely feedback
- Keep Pulse cadence at 100%
Role Requirements
- 6+ years in CPG marketing, ideally with both DTC and retail brand experience
- Understand how Amazon fits into a CPG growth strategy (share of search, ASIN architecture, buy box, sponsored vs. organic balance)
- Familiar with the retailer relationship layer (how Target, Ulta, Sephora, Whole Foods, or similar partners shape media investment decisions)
- Have an opinion on CPG measurement (MMM, incrementality testing, in-store vs. digital attribution)
- Fluent in upper-funnel channel strategy (content, SEO, YouTube, programmatic)
- Comfortable with creative-heavy accounts where briefs, asset velocity, and influencer strategy are as important as media optimization
- Track record of retaining and growing accounts
- Experience managing senior clients who have strong brand opinions and need to be met with confidence
