Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening with our large power and utilities client in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay and Employment Details
- Pay: $26.00 - $31.00/hr
- Employment Type: W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
- Requirements: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Shift Schedule
- Hours: Night Shift 6pm-6am (12 hrs shift); 3-4 days per week; fully remote.

- Week 1: F, Sat, Sun
- Week 2: M, Tue, W
- Week 3: M, Tue, W, Thur
- Week 4: M, Tue, W
- Week 5: M, Tue, W, Thur
- Week 6: Thur, F, Sat, Sun

Provide predictive and proactive monitoring, issue resolution, and the improved reliability of our Data Center Infrastructure and business critical applications. This includes support for workstations, servers, storage and a variety of software across IT. Provide tier 2 monitoring and support for both Enterprise Infrastructure environments (Client Server, Windows, Linux, Storage, Citrix, IIS, Web/Middleware) and Enterprise Batch Level Support (UAC, or other monitoring platforms).
Responsibilities
- Provide proactive and predictive monitoring, support, and problem resolution of all data center infrastructure and software environments, storage, printing, networking, and batch environments.
- Setup/modify, monitor, and track the client server production batch job flows.
- Perform Server Reboots as needed.
- Provide support internally for any technical issues requiring escalation.
- Participates on projects teams to provide support and consultation as needed.
- Assist with monthly patch deployments.
- Participates in ongoing cross-training of technical and process knowledge.
- Review and complete incident, work order, e-Form, and other IT infrastructure related requests.
- Lead and participate in major incidents and disaster recovery exercises.
- Assists in determining, planning, and implementing necessary changes to the IT infrastructure as needed.
- Develop and promote standard processes and procedures.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- In addition to required degree, 1-year related work experience.
- In lieu of bachelor's degree(s) AND 1 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 3 year(s) related work experience.
