Role: GCP Cloud Admin

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: Long-Term

USC/Green-Card (C2C)

Job Description:

Collaborate with architecture and development teams to configure and deploy GCP services, including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and IAM.

Configuration & Deployment:

Lead the configuration and automation of infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.

Set up CI/CD pipelines using GCP-native tools like Cloud Build or integrate with third-party systems such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.

Workshops & Demos:

Conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) and Proof of Technology (PoT) sessions for clients to demonstrate the capabilities and performance of proposed solutions.

Administer and scale Google Cloud Platform services, including Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, IAM, and BigQuery, Kubernetes, Databases, VM handling on Linux and Windows OS, LDAP Knowledge.

Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tooling.

Implement Infrastructure and security policies as code (PaC).

Enforce identity controls, service accounts, and IAM policies with audit-readiness.

Monitor resource performance using Stack driver, Datadog, and implement alerts, dashboards, and uptime SLAs.

Enable containerized deployments via Docker and Kubernetes (GKE), with Helm integration.

Automate routine tasks using Bash / Python scripts and DevOps workflows.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud deployments with security and governance standards.

Conduct drift detection, cost analysis, and performance tuning to optimize GCP environments.

Integrate secrets management using Vault or Secret Manager and secure CI / CD credentials.

Document architecture decisions, operations playbooks, and postmortem reports GCP with Linux.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure components such as virtual machines, storage, networking, and databases in GCP.
  • Experience with GCP tools like Cloud Console, Cloud SDK, Cloud Deployment Manager, etc.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including IAM, VPCs, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Proficient with cloud automation and scripting tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with GCP services like Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Pub/Sub, Big Query, etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in cloud environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
