What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Receive phone calls and fax requests to schedule patients for outpatient tests
- Complete pre-registration of scheduled patients and ensure a valid provider order is obtained
- Provide excellent customer service while managing patient scheduling requests
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to facilitate smooth patient access
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with regulations
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum of two years of previous Patient Scheduling or Patient Access experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Office experience in a healthcare environment, including knowledge of medical terminology and CPT/ICD-10 codes
- Strong multitasking abilities and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in a healthcare setting with a focus on patient access or scheduling
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
