Position Overview
As a Tax Senior, you will play a key role in supporting client engagements, working closely with managers and partners while also helping guide and develop associates. This role offers a balance of tax compliance and planning, along with meaningful client interaction and exposure to a variety of industries.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with managers and partners to support the planning, execution, and delivery of client engagements
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
- Prepare and review quarterly tax estimates and projections
- Research complex tax issues and document conclusions supported by relevant tax law and guidance
- Identify tax planning opportunities and contribute to developing tax-efficient strategies for clients
- Participate in client meetings, including discussions related to tax strategy and planning
- Respond to notices and assist with audits and other inquiries from taxing authorities
- Review work prepared by associates and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Support the development of junior team members through mentorship and day-to-day guidance
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
- Stay current on tax law changes and evaluate their impact on clients
- Assist with international tax matters as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 3--5 years of relevant tax experience, including preparation of Forms 1040, 1120, and 1065, as well as state tax returns
- CPA license or actively pursuing licensure
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong understanding of tax implications for individuals, businesses, and investments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to learning
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Taxation
- Experience with a Big 4 or national accounting firm
- Proficiency with UltraTax, Engagement Manager, Practice CS, Co Counsel, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
