Job Summary

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will serve as a liaison between business and/or technology groups. You will lead and advise others in identifying, documenting, and defining complex systems requirements, scope, and objectives based on a thorough understanding of complex business systems and industry requirements. You will play a pivotal role in bridging business and technology groups by strategically guiding and mentoring teams in the identification and definition of gaps between existing tool sets and new system configurations. This position involves partnership in shaping the scope and objectives of initiatives with a comprehensive understanding of complex business systems and industry standards, ensuring that changes drive significant improvements and align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Experience with techniques to elicit, prioritize, organize, document, model, and analyze requirements.
  • Facilitation and meeting management skills with the ability to create a framework that encourages participation and productivity.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile techniques, to effectively support delivery.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard tools for process mapping, documentation, and software development lifecycle management to enhance clarity and streamline business operations.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence others through sharing information and gaining commitment.
  • Presentation skills and ability to present information in various ways to meet audience needs.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail for accurate solution assessment and recommendation.
  • Listening, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively interact and influence across diverse organizations.
  • Ability to collaborate with others in a team-oriented environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute concurrent initiatives while balancing deadlines and stakeholder needs without impacting quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology, business discipline, or related field of study and a minimum of 4 years of related work experience in requirements gathering activities or systems experience.
  • In lieu of the above, completion of a technical training program and a minimum of 4 years of related work experience in requirements gathering activities or systems experience.
  • In lieu of the above, a minimum of 6 years of related work experience in requirements gathering activities or systems experience.
