About the Role

We are seeking a senior Cerner Millennium CCL Data Transformation Lead to support a major healthcare transformation program focused on EHR modernization and healthcare data migration. This is a fully remote contract opportunity with standard working hours from 8am to 5pm.

Responsibilities

  • We analyze and document clinical workflows across inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary care settings.
  • We translate clinical and operational needs into technical specifications and data-driven solutions.
  • We develop, refine, and maintain Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts within Cerner Millennium environments.
  • We perform complex healthcare data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and migration work.
  • We support enterprise EHR modernization, reporting, and legacy system retirement efforts.
  • We design and maintain ETL processes, structured data feeds, and flat file integrations.
  • We troubleshoot CCL performance issues, integration challenges, and reporting defects.
  • We partner with clinical informatics, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate implementation of clinical requirements.
  • We support REST/SOA integrations and enterprise healthcare reporting platforms.
  • We execute and tune production batch jobs and assist with both production and non-production Cerner environments.
  • We communicate technical limitations, dependencies, and data constraints to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • We support cloud-based and enterprise healthcare data solutions across modern infrastructure environments.

Requirements

Must have:

  • We need 11 years of experience supporting Cerner Millennium and healthcare IT environments.
  • We require advanced hands-on expertise in Cerner Command Language (CCL) development and optimization.
  • We are looking for strong knowledge of clinical workflows, healthcare operations, and EHR platforms.
  • We need experience with large-scale EHR implementations, migrations, or modernization programs.
  • We require solid experience with Oracle databases, SQL, and Linux-based environments.
  • We need background designing and supporting ETL pipelines and enterprise data integrations.
  • We require experience with healthcare data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and reporting solutions.
  • We need experience with REST/SOA integrations and enterprise application interfaces.
  • We value knowledge of distributed systems, networking, and performance tuning.
  • We require experience supporting both production and non-production Cerner environments.
  • We need strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and clinical audiences.
  • We require a bachelors degree.

Preferred:

  • We prefer working knowledge of Java, C, C++, Python, Perl, or OCI.
  • We prefer experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OCI.
  • We prefer prior experience as a senior Cerner consultant or technical lead.
