Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret aerial and satellite imagery to identify and document ground features, infrastructure, and land-use patterns.
  • Utilize GIS tools and mapping technologies to assist with operational analysis, planning, and reporting tasks.
  • Review and validate geospatial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Identify residential and commercial land parcels, utility infrastructure, easements, and rights-of-way.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, reports, and mapping records in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational goals and project outcomes.
  • Apply industry best practices and quality assurance standards in imagery analysis and geospatial workflows.

Requirements:

Must have:

  • Experience interpreting aerial and/or satellite imagery.
  • Strong knowledge of GIS tools, mapping systems, and practices in geospatial analysis.
  • Understanding of residential and commercial land parcels, utility infrastructure, and rights-of-way.
  • Exceptional attention to detail accompanied by strong organizational and documentation abilities.
  • Capacity to manage tasks and yield results in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Equivalent professional experience in GIS analysis or imagery interpretation may substitute for a degree.
  • Proficiency with GIS software and mapping platforms.
  • Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating within cross-functional teams.

We are excited to welcome a meticulous and analytical GIS Analyst to our expanding team. This fully remote position is designed for those with a keen interest in geospatial analysis and imagery interpretation. We offer a flexible work environment, and while the role is open to candidates nationwide, preference will be given to those located in the Eastern Time Zone due to working hours of Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM EST. Along with competitive pay, ranging from $22 to $26 per hour, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision insurance, short-term disability, and a 401K plan, all subject to eligibility.
