Job description

Randstad in partnership with a Fortune 100 company located in Columbus is actively seeking an Senior Administrative Assistant to support an Associate Vice President in their P&C Business Performance department. Our client is a large Insurance and Financial Services company which is headquartered in downtown Columbus, Ohio.

***This would be a two month contract position with possible extension- (covering someone who is out on medical leave)

What you would be doing:

  • Performs secretarial and administrative assistant assignments of a confidential nature in support of an AVP and business group.
  • Schedules and maintains calendar of appointments, meetings and travel itineraries for management and staff. This includes logistics and travel itineraries for management and other staff, location selection, menus and food services, supplies, audio visual support, room set-up, etc.
  • Drafts responses for management approval; composes and sends simple correspondence on occasional basis such as promotional and congratulatory letters, basic instructions or procedures.
  • Answers telephones, takes messages and/or redirects calls. Greets visitors. Responds to a variety of inquiries on work-related topics and processes. May open manager's email and respond or forward as appropriate.
  • Compiles information from a variety of sources to prepare standard and ad hoc reports and exhibits.
  • Processes check requests, expense advances and reports and other routine requisitions to pay bills, clear expense, order supplies, support meetings, etc.
  • Maintains and updates office records such as associate files, work schedules, technical manuals, forms, supply lists, organizational charts and related internal files
  • Assists in gathering data and information, computing figures, assembling materials, and preparing exhibits for reports, projects, management meetings and other presentations.

What we're looking for:

  • Education: High school, vocational or technical school studies.
  • The successful candidate will need to have 3 years of Secretarial experience.
  • A proficiency in Outlook, Concur, Egencia, and MS Office are required.
  • Candidates must also be able to type 50 wpm
