We're an innovative, funded medical AI startup transforming healthcare through cutting-edge technology. As part of our small, high-impact engineering team, you'll work directly with our Principal Engineer to build products that make a real difference in patient care and clinical outcomes.
The Role
We're seeking a versatile Full-Stack Engineer who thrives in a startup environment where you'll own features from conception to deployment. You'll work across our entire technology stack, building and maintaining both new features and existing systems that power our medical AI platform.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy full-stack features across web and mobile platforms
- Build scalable backend services using Python, AWS, and GraphQL
- Create responsive, intuitive user interfaces with React and Flutter
- Architect and implement serverless solutions on AWS infrastructure
- Collaborate closely with our small engineering team to shape technical decisions
- Maintain and enhance our existing systems while building new capabilities
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
- Work directly with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong full-stack development capabilities with production experience in both backend and frontend technologies
- AWS expertise, including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and other core services
- Backend proficiency in Python and RESTful/GraphQL API development
- Frontend experience with React and modern TypeScript
- Database knowledge, including NoSQL, DynamoDB, and SQL databases
- Experience with version control, Git, and CI/CD practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration
- Must be in the Pacific time zone
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with serverless architectures and AWS AppSync
- Familiarity with Next.js and modern React patterns
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, Serverless Framework
- Mobile development experience with Flutter
- Experience with Docker and containerization
- Background or interest in healthcare/medical technology
- Startup experience and comfort with ambiguity
- Current knowledge of and experience with AI-enabled coding assistants
