Company Description
Our client is building an AI-native IT operations platform designed to proactively detect, investigate, and remediate enterprise IT issues before they disrupt users.
The platform acts as an intelligent operational graph across enterprise infrastructure—integrating data from MDMs, vulnerability scanners, ticketing systems, and internal tooling to power autonomous AI investigation and remediation agents.
This is an opportunity to join an extremely early-stage, high-conviction team building the intelligence layer for modern IT operations. The company has already secured enterprise design partners at publicly traded companies and is backed by top-tier investors and operators from companies like Palantir, Datadog, and Google Gemini.
The role offers deep ownership over production AI agents, evaluation systems, retrieval and reasoning pipelines, and customer-facing AI workflows.
What You Will Do
- Build and own production AI investigation agents that diagnose and remediate enterprise IT issues.
- Develop query agents that translate natural language into structured semantic queries.
- Build evaluation frameworks, metrics systems, and feedback loops for production AI systems.
- Design and maintain retrieval and reasoning pipelines across complex enterprise datasets.
- Work with multi-source enterprise data including ticketing systems, MDMs, scanners, and operational tooling.
- Ship production-grade AI agents and workflows used directly by enterprise customers.
- Develop scalable LLM-powered systems with strong reliability and observability.
- Use AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and ChatGPT extensively in daily workflows.
- Work directly with enterprise design partners to understand operational pain points and rapidly ship solutions.
- Own systems end-to-end from architecture through production deployment.
- Contribute to AI infrastructure, agent orchestration, evaluation quality, and reasoning pipelines.
- Operate in a highly autonomous, fast-moving engineering environment.
- Collaborate closely with founders, engineers, and customers.
- Help shape the long-term AI architecture and product direction.
Ideal Candidate Background
- 2--8 years of software engineering or AI engineering experience.
- Strong production AI agent development experience.
- Experience building and shipping AI systems as part of a core product.
- Strong Python engineering skills.
- Experience building on top of LLMs in production environments.
- Strong understanding of AI evaluation systems, metrics, and failure modes.
- Experience with retrieval, reasoning, or agentic workflows.
- Experience operating in high-growth startup environments.
- Strong ownership mentality and product instincts.
- Comfortable working directly with customers.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience integrating AI coding assistants into daily workflows.
