Title of Role: Product Engineer (Full-Stack)

Location: New York, NY (Flatiron) or Boston, MA (Hybrid: 3--4 days/week in-office)

Company Stage of Funding: Series A (~$35M raised)

Office Type: Hybrid

Salary: $160,000 -- $225,000 + Equity

Our client is an AI-native healthcare company building a modern medical practice powered by both clinicians and AI. Their platform delivers fast, high-quality care through asynchronous, messaging-based interactions---enabling patients to connect with physicians in minutes.

Founded by a practicing physician, the company is rethinking how care is delivered by combining clinical expertise with AI-powered automation across the entire healthcare stack.

With strong traction and 5x revenue growth, they've recently raised $35M in Series A funding from top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Google Ventures. They are expanding rapidly and onboarding major enterprise customers, including a Fortune 10 company.

This is an opportunity to join early (Engineer #7--10 range) while still benefiting from strong funding and product-market validation.

What You Will Do

  • Build and ship patient-facing features across web and mobile applications
  • Develop full-stack systems using modern frameworks (TypeScript, React, Next.js)
  • Scale backend infrastructure with a focus on reliability and data integrity
  • Improve physician-facing tools and workflows using AI-powered features
  • Build integrations with healthcare systems (EMRs, claims data, HIEs)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, clinical, and business teams
  • Own features end-to-end from concept to deployment
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and overall product direction

Ideal Candidate Background

  • 5+ years of experience as a full-stack or product engineer
  • Strong experience building and shipping products from zero-to-one
  • Proficiency in TypeScript (critical requirement)
  • Experience with modern web frameworks (React, Next.js)
  • Backend experience (Python or similar preferred)
  • Experience working in high-growth startup environments
  • Strong product mindset with focus on user impact
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare or health-tech systems
  • Familiarity with EMR integrations or healthcare data systems
  • Experience with mobile development (React Native)
  • Strong academic background (top CS programs) or notable company experience
  • Active GitHub or strong side projects demonstrating ownership
