About the Opportunity

A small, growing boutique firm with a tight-knit team is looking to add a sharp litigator at the Senior Associate or Counsel level. This is a genuine partnership-track role for someone who wants meaningful responsibility, direct client relationships, and a sustainable workload. The firm handles sophisticated cross-border commercial and IP disputes in U.S. courts, frequently representing international clients.

What You'll Work On

  • Federal and state commercial litigation, including contract and business disputes
  • Patent and trademark litigation
  • Cross-border matters involving international discovery, Hague Convention service, and enforcement of foreign judgments
  • Full-cycle case management: pleadings, discovery, motions, and hearings

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 5--15 years of civil litigation with a strong commercial disputes track record
  • Bar admission: Active California Bar member in good standing; admission to the Northern and/or Central District of California required

  • Skills: Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy; ability to independently manage complex matters
  • Pluses: IP litigation experience; federal clerkship; additional bar admissions (NY, TX, DC); Mandarin fluency; interest in cross-border work
  • Ideal fit: A skilled attorney seeking quality work and work/life balance — well-suited for, among others, a working parent with strong credentials who wants a rigorous but manageable practice
