About the Opportunity

The Podcast Social Producer will extend the reach and impact of the organization's podcast content by transforming long-form audio and video into engaging, platform-native social media. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a social media strategy for the podcast department, working closely with producers to highlight key moments and maintain the program's distinctive voice. The position manages planning, publishing, and performance tracking across major social platforms, using data and experimentation to grow audience engagement. Reporting to the Head of Podcasts, this remote role collaborates with podcast, marketing, and paid media teams to support content launches and campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the podcast-to-social media strategy
  • Oversee daily creative and operational management of podcast social channels on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and others
  • Edit or supervise editing of short-form clips from podcasts and long-form content, selecting moments suited to each platform
  • Develop platform-native creative concepts and storytelling formats
  • Write captions, hooks, and scripts that reflect the program's editorial voice
  • Partner with podcast producers to promote new releases and highlight standout moments
  • Manage content scheduling and publishing using Sprout Social and Google Docs
  • Set channel goals, track performance, and report insights
  • Conduct ongoing experiments to optimize formats, pacing, packaging, and posting strategies
  • Coordinate messaging, timing, and priorities across podcast, marketing, and social teams
  • Stay informed on social media trends and best practices
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns in collaboration with marketing
  • Create and repurpose content assets to support marketing goals and engagement
  • Work with Paid Media Lead to identify content for boosting and share performance feedback

Requirements

  • Experience managing social media accounts across multiple platforms
  • Proficiency in creating and editing short-form video content
  • Strong skills in video editing software and Canva for graphics
  • Familiarity with Sprout Social, Airtable, and Google Docs
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, analytics, and emerging trends
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and brand tone skills
  • Strong organizational ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Jewish life, history, or Israeli culture, or willingness to learn

Pay Range and Compensation Package

  • The target salary range for this position when based in New York is $70,000 to $80,000 annually
  • In Israel, the salary range is 14,000 to 15,000 NIS per month
  • The final salary will be determined based on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications
