About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Network Security Engineer to help design, build, and maintain highly secure enterprise-grade infrastructure and communication systems. This role is ideal for an engineer who combines deep networking expertise, cybersecurity knowledge, cloud infrastructure experience, and strong systems engineering capabilities.

You will play a key role in architecting secure connectivity solutions across global environments while ensuring scalability, performance, reliability, and compliance with modern security standards.

What You'll Do

Network Architecture & Infrastructure

  • Design and implement secure, scalable network architectures across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Build and maintain high-performance infrastructure supporting global operations.
  • Develop secure communication solutions across distributed systems and environments.
  • Evaluate and implement networking protocols, encryption technologies, and security controls.
  • Ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure including firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems.

Security Engineering

  • Implement and maintain strong authentication and authorization frameworks, including MFA and certificate-based access control.
  • Design and deploy secure communication channels using modern encryption standards.
  • Establish and enforce access control policies and security best practices.
  • Support Zero Trust security initiatives and network segmentation strategies.
  • Participate in security reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments.

Performance & Reliability

  • Monitor and optimize network performance, availability, and latency.
  • Implement load balancing, redundancy, and failover mechanisms.
  • Troubleshoot complex networking, infrastructure, and connectivity issues.
  • Improve system resiliency and operational efficiency through automation.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Support compliance initiatives aligned with frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, or similar standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement remediation plans.
  • Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats and evolving best practices.

Operations & Monitoring

  • Deploy and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
  • Maintain infrastructure through patch management, upgrades, and security updates.
  • Develop and improve incident response procedures and operational runbooks.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and DevOps teams to support business objectives.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Security Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including: Routing & Switching, DNS, TCP/IP, BGP, VPN technologies.
  • Hands-on experience administering Linux-based systems.
  • Experience with enterprise firewalls, IDS/IPS platforms, and security monitoring tools.
  • Experience working with SIEM solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, CEH, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Zero Trust Architecture and Software Defined Perimeter (SDP) concepts.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment methodologies.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and security hardening.
  • Background working within highly regulated or security-sensitive environments.
