About the Role

We are a Top 100 ENR General Contractor with over 125 years of experience in Commercial, Transportation, and Renewable Energy. As a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company, we offer long-term career stability and growth.

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Sacramento team. This role focuses on Higher Education projects; candidates must have experience in ground-up and TI estimating for colleges and universities. You will be proficient in alternative delivery methods, including design-bid-build and guaranteed max price.

The Senior Estimator will communicate directly with design teams and owners with minimal supervision, lead project delivery techniques, and mentor staff estimators.

  • Create conceptual estimations for upper management.
  • Justify and reconcile estimates for third-party consultant projects.
  • Prepare budget uploads, buying plans, subcontracts, purchase orders, General Conditions, and project logistics independently.
  • Manage hard bid efforts, coordinate constructibility evaluations, and apply indirect expenses.
  • Coordinate with operations to develop feasible strategies (schedule, logistics, staffing).
  • Provide cost and constructibility input to the design team.

Prerequisites

  • Four-year engineering degree or similar technical training/experience.
  • 5-10+ years of estimating experience in Higher Education, DSA, and Public Works projects.
  • Proven experience leading project teams with minimal monitoring.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • LEED and DBIA certifications are preferred.
  • Business unit-identified market sector project experience is preferred.
