Fully Remote Opportunity for Southern California Attorneys
A national firm with multiple Southern California offices (LA County, OC, and San Diego County) is seeking attorneys with at least 1+ year of defense experience for hybrid or remote roles.
Robert Half is partnering with this firm to find multiple attorneys for roles focusing on auto warranty defense, with opportunities in products liability and commercial litigation. This is a collaborative environment that values growth, client service, and camaraderie.
Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation cases from inception to resolution, including drafting motions, conducting discovery, and preparing for trial.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including attending trials and depositions.
- Collaborate with partners and associates on warranty and product liability matters.
- Maintain a caseload of 20-40 active litigation matters.
- Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal briefs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and strategic advice.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the firm's culture.
- Stay updated on California law, particularly in consumer warranty and product liability.
- Support firm initiatives, including community outreach and development events.
Requirements:
- Active license to practice law in California.
- Minimum of one year of experience in civil litigation, preferably defense work.
- Familiarity with consumer warranty law or product liability is highly desirable.
- Strong experience with billing and managing billable hour requirements.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal billing software and case management tools.
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to a positive team environment.
