Robert Half Legal is partnering with a nationally recognized law firm in their search for a Litigation Attorney to join their California offices. With 40 years of successful practice, the firm enjoys an outstanding reputation and a supportive, employee-centric culture.
About the Role:
This is a fully remote, contract-to-hire opportunity open to attorneys at any level of seniority, from junior associates to senior trial attorneys. The firm primarily focuses on warranty defense and product liability, with long-term lateral mobility for those interested in transitioning into other practice areas.
Location Flexibility:
Candidates can sit anywhere within the United States but must have an active license to practice law in California. For those who prefer a hybrid or on-site work environment, the firm welcomes employees to work from any of their California offices.
Key Responsibilities (Contract Period):
- Draft motions and pleadings
- Conduct legal research and written discovery
- Perform thorough case analysis and trial preparation
Key Responsibilities (Post-Conversion):
- Handle all phases of litigation, including written discovery, depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, and in-court trial work
- Opportunity to develop skills and transition to other practice areas within the firm
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Active license to practice law in California (required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in warranty defense, product liability, or general litigation preferred
- Strong organizational, research, and analytical abilities
- Commitment to collegiality and client service
Compensation:
Upon conversion to a permanent role, the base salary will be commensurate with experience, ranging from $175,000 to $225,000 per year.
