Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis. This role focuses on supporting employment-based immigration processes, including H-1B and applications for individuals eligible to work in the U.S., ensuring accuracy in all government filings. The position is fully remote and based in San Diego, California, with company-provided equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file immigration petitions, including I-129 and I-140 forms, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate with clients to collect necessary documentation and provide case status updates.
  • Manage case files and track deadlines for timely document submission.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and filing requirements for employment-based visas.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to draft and review legal documents for immigration cases.
  • Utilize case management software for organizing and monitoring case progress.
  • Respond to client inquiries and offer guidance on immigration processes.
  • Conduct thorough document reviews to identify and correct errors before submission.
  • Stay current on immigration policies and procedures for proper case handling.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in employment-based immigration, specifically H-1B and applications for individuals eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage error-free government filings.
  • Proficiency in case management software and Adobe tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills for handling multiple cases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and team interaction.
  • Knowledge of current immigration laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
