Job Overview

As an Advanced/Senior Network Engineer at the Solution Provider, you will play a pivotal role in managing the network infrastructure of an organization, ensuring high levels of performance, security, and reliability. This is a fully remote position for 20-30 hours per week, for a 2-4 week engagement.

We are seeking a highly experienced Network Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support complex, project-based initiatives across enterprise data center environments. This role is focused on the design, implementation, and migration of modern network architectures, including multi-fabric, VXLAN/EVPN overlays, and micro-segmentation strategies. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in large-scale switching and routing environments, thrives in fast-paced project delivery, and can operate independently while serving as a trusted technical lead for both internal teams and customer stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • 10 years as a Senior Network Engineer in enterprise environments
  • Deep expertise in: Data Center Switching & Routing, BGP (iBGP / eBGP) and OSPF design and operations, Multi-fabric architectures, VXLAN / EVPN overlays, Microsegmentation design and implementation
  • Proven experience with: Greenfield and brownfield migrations and Large-scale network transformations

EVPN, VXLAN, VNI, VTEP, VRF segmentation and multi-tenancy

Routing & Switching

BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, HSRP, VRRP, ECMP, IGMP

Data Center & L2/L3

MC-LAG, LACP, PVLAN, VSF / VSX

Security & Access

ACLs, VPNs, 802.1X

Platform & Technology Focus

  • Strong hands-on experience with: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Aruba Switching (AOS-CX)
  • Willingness to self-ramp on: Aruba Fabric Composer (AFC), Pensando Policy Services Manager (PSM), Ansible-based automation across fabric environments
  • Ability to leverage internal test lab environments to validate designs and configurations
